The inaugural California Telehealth Resource Center 2013 Telehealth Conference: Moving California Forward, brought together 288 leaders in the field of telehealth and telemedicine!
Keynote speakers included Mario Gutierrez, Executive Director, Center for Connected Health Policy, Thomas Nesbitt; Associate Vice Chancellor for Strategic Alliances and technologies, UC Davis, and Eric Brown, California Telehealth Network. The Conference was held in beautiful Napa, California April 14 – 16, 2013 at the Meritage Resort and Spa.
Topics included: best and promising applications and practices from telehealth leaders; how telehealth fits into today’s health reform ideas; what the current policy and reimbursement landscape looks like from the public policy and private payer’s perspective; affordable technology innovations that won’t break the budget; telehealth integration into Health Information Exchange challenges and successes; California Telehealth Network and the new Health Care Connect Fund benefits; and tips on how to develop and sustain your telemedicine program utilizing CA based resources.
“Telehealth Marketing – the Fast-Track to Patients and Progress for your Telehealth Service”, our pre-conference workshop, was held on Sunday, April 14, 2013. In this workshop, Nirav Desai explained how marketing can impact the success of your telehealth program. 88 participants dove into effective techniques for understanding who you need to market to, how you should go about it, and what you should say.
