Laura is a nationally recognized thought leader and expert in digital health and technology. A Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) survivor, she joined RecastHealth after challenges managing her own recovery reignited her passion for technology that empowers all people to understand and manage their health. She is particularly adept at coaching organizations to evaluate needs, develop effective strategies and partnerships, align staffing models and workflows, and implement new products and programs to improve outcomes and reduce disparities. She has led major multi-state initiatives to implement shared technology solutions to put the patient at the center of care and worked extensively with safety net clients to serve their varied communities with sensitivity to equity and inclusion.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University and Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Health Administration from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business and School of Public Health, respectively. She serves as a Technical Expert on Artificial Intelligence for the National Quality Forum and has served as a Technical Expert for Patient Reported Outcome Measures to Patient Reported Outcome Performance Measures (PROMs to PRO-PMs). She is a life Fellow of HIMSS and held positions at the National and State level including Chair of several HIMSS National Committees and President and Board Member of HIMSS WA. Prior to her TBI, she was Principal and Practice Leader at ECG Management Consultants where she developed and oversaw the firm’s national Healthcare IT practice.
