David Vidal joined Mayo Clinic in 2020 and is the Vice Chair of AI Enablement in the Center for Digital Health. The AI Enablement team is comprised of multidisciplinary AI experts that provide services and capabilities to scale translation of safe, effective, and ethical AI for Mayo Clinic. The team partners with AI leadership across Mayo Clinic to contribute AI development, engineering, and regulatory expertise as well as align standards, automate processes, build reusable assets to optimize AI translation. David specializes in navigating product regulatory strategy and safety controls for AI and software-based products. He also contributes to national groups, including the Coalition for Health AI (CHAI), the California Telehealth Resource Center (CTRC), and he is a member of the leadership council for the Health AI Partnership (HAIP). David is an attorney living in Rochester, Minnesota with his wife and son.
