DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”Event Description” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%2378a23f” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1692314796264{padding-top: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=””] \nAI in TeleBehavioral Health: Promise\, Practice\, and Responsibility \nThe TeleBehavioral Health Summit (TeleBH Summit) is a free\, two-day\, CME-accredited virtual conference focused on the growing role of artificial intelligence and digital innovation in behavioral health care. \nBuilding on the Behavioral Health Institute’s TeleBehavioral Health Training Series\, the TeleBH Summit brings together national experts\, clinicians\, policymakers\, and thought leaders to examine how AI is shaping behavioral health practice today and how providers can engage with these tools safely\, ethically\, and effectively. The Summit emphasizes practical\, frontline-focused education that supports clinical judgment\, patient safety\, equity\, and regulatory compliance in an increasingly technology-enabled care environment. \nOver two days\, participants will move through an Awareness\, Inspiration\, and Mastery learning arc\, gaining foundational understanding of AI concepts\, exploring real-world clinical applications and risks\, and developing skills for responsible integration into everyday workflows. Sessions address clinical use cases\, legal and ethical considerations\, patient communication\, policy and regulatory trends\, and strategies for sustaining high-quality\, person-centered care. \nThe TeleBH Summit is designed for anyone providing\, supervising\, or leading behavioral health services\, including clinicians\, peer professionals\, administrators\, and system leaders\, who want to better understand AI’s impact on mental health and substance use care and their role in shaping its responsible use. \nContinuing Education \nAfter completing the conference evaluation\, a free Certificate of Completion will be provided. Continuing Medical Education credits are available for a nominal fee. More information about CME accreditation is available here. \nAcknowledgements\nThe TeleBehavioral Health Summit is a collaborative effort between the Behavioral Health Institute at Harborview Medical Center/UW Medicine\, and the Northwest Regional Telehealth Resource Center (NRTRC). \nThis event is generously sponsored by the Washington State Legislature \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner]REGISTER HERE[vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1692314355424{padding-top: 1em !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”Learning Objectives” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%2378a23f” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1692314832150{padding-top: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=””]COMING SOON[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”49714″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” animation=”rda_fadeInRight”]REGISTER HERE[/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”Presenter:” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center|color:%2378a23f” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1692314247697{padding-top: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;}”]\n[vc_row_inner content_placement=”middle” css=”.vc_custom_1692310176984{padding-top: 1em !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”62370″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_border_circle_2″ border_color=”blue” css=””][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”Sylvia Trujillo\, MPP\, JD” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left|color:%230070bc” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=””][vc_custom_heading text=”CTRC Executive Director” font_container=”tag:h5|text_align:left|color:%23f5851f” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=””][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner content_placement=”middle” css=”.vc_custom_1692310176984{padding-top: 1em !important;}”][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text css=””]Sylvia Trujillo is a healthcare policy\, AI\, and digital health strategist with a proven track record of driving innovation\, efficiency\, and market adoption of emerging healthcare technologies. SUMMARY:Telehealth + Artificial Intelligence: A Clear Synergy to Increase Effectiveness of Screening in Primary Care
DESCRIPTION:Artificial intelligence (AI) programs have recently been shown to be more accurate than human experts in diagnosing diseases such as diabetic retinopathy. Real-world experiences with autonomous AI\, however\, have been discouraging due to high false positive rates\, the inability to accommodate real-world data from diverse patients\, and limited diagnostic output (often just a yes or no for a specific disease). AI\, which is designed to work with human experts\, overcomes these shortcomings and improves outcomes by shortening the time that it takes to intervene in patients who need prompt treatment. Telehealth + AI programs provide the depth and breadth of human experts while enabling immediate intervention for patients who are at high risk of complications. Presented by: Jorge Cuadros\, OD\, Ph.D.\, Clinical Professor\, and CEO | University of California\, Berkeley\, Meredith Morgan Optometric Eye Center\, and EyePACS Inc. Learning \nObjectives: \n\nGain knowledge of recent studies regarding the advantages and shortcomings of real-world AI programs\nHave an evidence-based understanding of how telehealth + AI programs can improve outcomes for patients with complications of chronic disease\nUnderstand the billing and reimbursement advantages of telehealth + AI\n\nClick Here to View the Recording \nClick Here to View the Slide Deck \nClick Here to View the Q&A Document
