Her work helped ensure telehealth coverage for federally qualified health centers under Medi-Cal\, California’s Medicaid program. SUMMARY:From Principles to Practice: Exploring AI Governance in Health Systems (Duke)
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”Event Description” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%2378a23f” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1692314796264{padding-top: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=””]During this public webinar\, Duke-Margolis and Duke Health will dive deeper into the topic of their newly released white paper on how health systems are navigating the role of AI governance. The webinar will begin with an overview presentation of key takeaways from the white paper followed by a fireside chat where experts will discuss the benefits of governance\, as well as lessons learned while building their own AI governance processes. After the fireside chat\, there will be a panel discussion on methods and supports to facilitate the democratization of AI governance so more health organizations can safely and responsibly use these novel tools. \nAI governance is the practice of reviewing\, assessing\, and evaluating individual AI tools to ensure that they can be used safely\, responsibly\, fairly\, and effectively with the health system’s patient population and in compliance with applicable laws. The benefits of a good governance system include visibility into the AI tools being used within the health system; predictability of the information needed to review\, implement\, and monitor an AI tool; transparency into the governance process; standardization of the procedures for evaluation\, risk assessment\, and risk mitigation; clear lines of accountability; and centralized and standardized documentation on each tool’s assessment and testing.  When designing a governance system\, health systems should start with a clear articulation of the principles and goals of governance for that health system and identification of stakeholders that should be involved in the governance process.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner]REGISTER HERE[vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1692314355424{padding-top: 1em !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”Learning Objectives” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%2378a23f” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1692314832150{padding-top: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=””]The webinar will begin with an overview presentation of key takeaways from the white paper followed by a fireside chat where experts will discuss the benefits of governance\, as well as lessons learned while building their own AI governance processes. SUMMARY:NCTRC Webinar - Integrating Frontlines of Care and Specialty Services: Digital Health Tools and Autonomous AI As the Missing Link
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”Event Description” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%2378a23f” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1692314796264{padding-top: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=””]This session explains how the strategic use of digital health tools and especially autonomous AI can streamline chronic disease management and improve outcomes. We focus on diabetes management and the autonomous diabetic eye exam as real world case studies at scale. As healthcare systems face increasing pressure to expand access and reduce costs\, digital modalities will no longer operate in silos but will converge into integrated care pathways. It allows frontlines of care such as primary care clinics (FQHCs) to focus on chronic disease management in its totality across all organ systems. Autonomous AI and other digital health decision support tools applied regularly to each of these patients\, ensures that those\, but only those\, patients that stand to benefit from specialty care for a complication\, will be identified\, scheduled and followed through via telehealth or in-person care . Attendees will gain insight into how these tools work in tandem to transform care delivery into a continuous process and shift the model from reactive treatment to proactive prevention.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1692314355424{padding-top: 1em !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”49714″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” animation=”rda_fadeInRight”]REGISTER HERE[/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”Presenter:” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center|color:%2378a23f” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1692314247697{padding-top: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;}”][vc_row_inner content_placement=”middle” css=”.vc_custom_1692310176984{padding-top: 1em !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”63109″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_border_circle_2″ border_color=”blue” css=””][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”Michael D.
